Information you enter in the app

Information you enter, such as cycle dates, intimate moments, symptoms, moods, and notes, is used to provide Sera's features. It is stored on your device. If you create or join a shared room, information used for that feature is also sent to Firebase and associated with a room code so the devices in that room can sync. You control what is shared with your partner through the app's sharing settings.

No email address or password is required to start using Sera. A room code is pseudonymous: it does not contain your name, but information linked to it is not necessarily anonymous to someone who has the code or to a service processing it. We do not describe shared-room data as fully anonymized.

Advertising and diagnostics

The mobile apps use Google AdMob to display ads. Sera does not add your cycle, intimacy, or wellness entries to ad requests and does not build its own advertising profile from them. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic data for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Whether an ad is personalized can depend on consent, device settings, and Google's services. We cannot promise that an ad or its SDK collects no data.

The apps also include Firebase services for features such as synchronization and messaging, Firebase Analytics for app measurement, and Sentry for error diagnostics. These services may process technical identifiers, usage events, and diagnostic information. Technical identifiers and data associated with a room code are not necessarily anonymized, even when Sera does not ask for your name.

We do not provide your cycle, intimacy, or wellness entries to advertisers for targeting. We use aggregated information where possible when reviewing how the service performs.

This website and messages you send us

This website does not run an advertising SDK or cross-site analytics. Its server may record standard request information, including IP address, requested page, time, and browser user agent, for operation and security. The site loads fonts from Google, which may receive technical request information.

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. We use Brevo to deliver your message and our confirmation email. Contact messages are not anonymous.

Your choices

You can manage partner sharing and delete app data using Sera's settings. Your device settings may let you reset or limit advertising identifiers. Where consent controls are offered, you can use them to manage ad choices. If you have a question about data associated with your use of Sera or want help with a deletion request, contact us.
